How To Become A Foster
Becoming a foster pet parent is simple, firstly, fill out our "Foster Application" We will get back to you within 48 hours of your submission. Once approved, there will be an interview to find what pet best suits your home life and lifestyle. Afterward, welcome to the world of fostering!

We are committed to providing full support to our foster pet parents. We supply essential items such as leashes, collars, or harnesses, along with a crate to ensure your foster pet's safety and comfort. Enrichment items such as toys, bedding, blankets, and treats are also provided to keep your foster friend happy. Additionally, we supply flea and tick medication and food to maintain your foster pet's health and well-being. Our team is always available for assistance, offering 24/7 contact to answer any questions or provide guidance whenever needed.
Foster Assistance
Through fostering, pets experience improved socialization, becoming more comfortable and well-mannered around people, and various environments. This increased confidence and better behavior make them more likely to be seen by potential adopters. More exposure time at adoption events also boosts their visibility, increasing their chances of being adopted. Fostering not only impacts the life of the fostered pet but it also impacts the lives of more by allowing us to take in more pets in need.
Effects of Fostering
Responsibilities of our Foster Pet Parents include providing a safe space for basic training and desensitization to everyday sounds and environments. Attending adoption events to showcase your foster pet, and when the time comes, meeting with potential adopters to share insights of your pet's personality and needs. Above all, your role involves offering love, affection, and cuddles, building trust, and providing a secure and comforting environment.
Foster Responsabilities
48 Hour Foster
Traveling across the border can be unpredictable at times which makes hosting or attending early events difficult. 24/48-Hour Fosters allows our adoptable pups to attend events on time, without the stress of a long wait. A few days before a planned event, a volunteer will drop off pet supplies and your new furry friend where you will then provide love and care over the next 24 - 48 hours. Come the day of the event, 48-Hour Foster Parents will drop off their temp pet at the designated venue where, after providing a short recap of the pet's stay, they will relinquish all responsibilities of having a foster pet.

Angel was surrendered at 2 months old, but due to the border laws, she wouldn't have been able to be adopted out until she was at least 6 months old. Luckily, a wonderful foster took her in and Angel was able to find her forever home at 3 months old!
